Charcot-Wilbrand syndrome
The brain is the generator of dreams.
When a person does not dream, it means that certain part of the brain has been damaged. This rare disturbance is called the Charcot-Wilbrand syndrome or simply the loss of the ability to dream. The name is derived from the two neurologists, Jean-Maritn Charcot, and Hermann Wilbrand, who first described it in the 1880s.
The syndrome is quite rare, especially those cases wherein there’s a lack of symptoms other than dream loss.
